DIY Citrus Face Glow Scrub

Citrus Face Glow Scrub

1 small lime
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tbsp. honey
1/8 cup sweet almond oil
1/8 cup jojoba oil
7-10 drops lemon grass essential oil
3-6 drops sweet orange essential oil

1. Cut the lime in half and squeeze the juice from both halves into a bowl. Set aside the halves. Add the sugar and honey to the bowl.

2. Saturate the mixture with the sweet almond and jojoba oils. Blend the mixture with a small spoon or spatula until smooth, adding a little more of the oils if needed. Add lemon grass oil and sweet orange oil and mix well.

3. Use a small grater to zest the peel of the lime halves over the mixture and stir. Store in a clean plastic, glass, or tin container.

*To use, apply a small amount of the mixture to wet skin in a warm shower. Scrub gently in circular motions. Rinse. Lightly pat the skin dry and follow with your favorite moisturizer to enhance the benefits*

I hope you dolls enjoyed this face scrub as much as I do!!  I tried it over the weekend and it truly did leave my face feeling soft, luxurious and glowing!! And it was A LOT cheaper than going out and buying some expensive face scrub that offers the same results. Any of the essential oils can be purchased at a health store or if you're an avid online shopper, there are PLENTY of websites you can go on to buy them.  I will be posting more DIY beauty recipes after I've tried them, that way if they're no good you don't have to go through the agony of finding out...I kno, what a sport I am...lol

Happy Scrubbing Girls!! Now go get your glow on!!  =)

lol they're all yummy (or at least just yummy sounding) but they all smell wonderful!! Let me know if you try it and especially how you liked it. I love feedback!!!!!    And yes, this is my only blog (it's actually the first time I've ever blogged). I love that everyone is actually reading the things I post and possibly even trying my DIY recipes!!! That's awesome!! I love sharing new recipes with people, but only after I try them like I mentioned. I don't want to tell people to do something and then something terrible happens like their face turns orange or something weird like that..lol I love using natural ingredients too and I've been doing it for years now. My skin is sooo soft and supple from all of the scrubs and masques I've made over the years. It's amazing how much money I've saved too!!!

Oops! Sorry I wasn't very clear on my question, he,he.  I was wondering if you have a separate blog address where you post more things or if you were using this site as your main blog.  It sounds like this is your main one.    I'll keep watching for updates, I love the DIY concept for skin care.  I'm into natural ingredients and love having choices that work.

Aww you're welcome! I love sharing new DIY things with everyone. This one really works well for me and I figured it would for others as well. You're scrub sounds good too because I love using oatmeal as a scrub and mixing green tea in it sounds like a great idea! I want to try that out. I only post these kinds of things on here. (if that's what you meant...i'm a little tired so I'm not comprehending your question...lol i'm sorry) If you try this scrub out, let me know how it worked for you and how you liked it...thanks doll!!  =)

Thanks for sharing this recipe.  I like home made natural recipes like this one.  I've been working on an oatmeal, green tea weekly scrub. It seems to be keeping my skin healthy looking.  Do you have a website where you post these items?
