Dior Bronze Self-Tanner Shimmering Glow Body

I am a HUGE advocate of safe tanning!  This being said, I have tried many different self tanners...many!  Some made me orange, some made me brown, streaky and smelly.  I finally decided to dish out the $33 for this 4.3 oz bottle and I could not be happier!  Absolutely worth every penny.  I use it on my entire body once a week-for the weekends so one bottle lasts me about 2 months.   It's a gel-cream with a slight hint of shimmer so it gives you a nice golden glow in only 1 hour.  Never orange or brown!  It does not contain sunscreen but, it does protect your skin against free radicals.  It lasts about 4 days and fades naturally.  This gel-cream adjusts your skin's pH to develop a natural looking tan specifically for you.  Tips:  Always prepare your skin for self tanners.  Shower, shave and exfoliate.  Don't put any lotions, perfumes or deodorant before you use this because it will act as a barrier to the self tanner.  Make sure you are completely dry and start your safe tan!  Remember to use less on your hands, feet, elbows and knees-those areas tend to absorb more product and you want to keep it as natural looking as possible.  Make sure you blend really well in those areas also-in between your toes, fingers and knuckles. I do this all on Thursday nights-let the gel dry, wear lose clothing to bed, sleep in it (and don't work out or walk around n the rain afterward either) and if you need to shower in the a.m. don't exfoliate. You are now ready for the weekend....or anytime with a fabulous bronzed glow!  And it's SAFE! ;)

Oh it sounds like something I will have to try. I sampled a Lavera self tanner over the summer and I found it to work really well too (same price point as the Dior) but I was really happy with the results.  I think your suggestions about not exercising/walking in the rain would be smart to do (definitely not something I did). Maybe then my tan would last longer.  C'est la vie. Thanks for the great tip.

Yes, a lot of self tanners have terrible smell.  It's actually the DHA working with your pH.  So a lot of newer self tanners have a product that cancels out that unwanted smell.  This is one of the better ones along with a few others.  I am a huge advocate of safe tanning....if you want more reviews on self tanners and bronzers check out my website www.keepmeblushing.com I review many self tanners. =)

I will definitely have to try that one! It's not that expensive either. I just started using MARK Instant Vacation Costa Rica Gradual Tan. This is the 2nd day I've been using it and so far so good! Besides giving me a non-streaky, natural looking brown color (no orange yay), it doesn't smell bad at all! I've found that with a lot of sunless tanners (Esp from the drugstore), they all have that really bad fake tan smell. I'd definitely recommend this one!
