Organic Hair Conditioners
Just thought to share my experience with Organic Conditioners..
Lately I have made the switch from ordinary drugstore-type conditioners into natural and organic, slightly expensive, conditioners. The thought of more natural ingredients intrigued me and I was enthusiastic to see the results!
After months of usage, I realized that drugstore conditioners work faster due to silicones in them, while the organic types require regular usage to see any difference. moreover, many of the organic brands still contain many synthetic ingredients, but the active ingredients are organic, which may or may not make any difference to your hair. if the organic brand contains irritating synthetic ingredients on top of the good stuff, it may hinder its effectiveness.
It is important to note that silicones are not exactly bad for your hair, they get their bad reputation from the fact that they are difficult to get out of your hair, so with continous usage, the hair follice will choke and end up being dryer, but if you use silicone based products once in a while - for that special occasion - it should not be that bad.
So be careful and choose wisely, as spending more does not necessarily mean you're getting a higher value.
