
EMRAH KOVACOGLU is the co-founder and CEO of Total Beauty Media, Inc. Emrah developed the concept of TotalBeauty.com after working at Procter & Gamble as the global digital brand manager for the cosmetic category. He spent more than a decade at P&G working on several brands including CoverGirl and Max Factor. It became clear to Emrah, having worked in consumer marketing for leading beauty brands, that the industry was lacking an inclusive beauty guide for women of all ages and lifestyles. Emrah received a BS in electrical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
PAUL MATTEUCCI is a partner at USVP. Prior to USVP, Paul was CEO of HearMe, taking that company public in 1998. His two decades of operations experience include eight years with Adaptec, where he was vice president and general manager of the SCSI host adapter division. Paul served as a resident entrepreneur for Institutional Venture Partners in 1995 and was an advisor to Accel Partners, Redpoint Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures in the 1990s. Paul received an MBA from Stanford University, an MA in international studies from Johns Hopkins University and a BA from the University of the Pacific. He is currently on the boards of Intransa, LimeLife, Piczo, PodTech, TotalBeauty, Trovix, W5 and Winster, and is a board observer on LV Sensors. Paul also serves as a trustee of the Worlds Affairs Council and is a board member of the University of the Pacific School of International Studies. He is a frequent lecturer at Montana State University.
ANNE MARTIN-VACHON was most recently CMO for Bath & Body Works (Limited Brands) from September 2006 to March 2008. In her prior role at Procter & Gamble as vice president, global cosmetics and beauty marketing, her responsibilities included global Cover Girl and Max Factor marketing, cosmetics category innovation, design and beauty marketing. In the course of her 21-year career at P&G, she brought her expertise not only to cosmetics, but also to diverse categories such as oral care, household products and personal cleansing. Martin-Vachon graduated from University of Quebec and holds an MBA from McGill University. She is on the board of directors of Cosmetics Executive Women (CEW), member of the advisory board for the FIT graduate program, and currently resides in Columbus, Ohio, with her husband Luc, and her two sons, Luke and Alex.
RANI ALIAHMAD is a director of Craftsman Capital, providing venture structure, financing and merchant banking services for both entrepreneurs and venture investors in the technology, biotechnology, hospitality, entertainment and fashion industries. He recently served as president of USA Call, a pioneering provider of end-to-end mobile solutions and services for the marketing arena. Rani co-founded Cardionomics with a team of Harvard Medical School researchers. Prior to Cardionomics, Rani was co-founder and chief information officer of Enverta, a B2B platform for the U.S. confectionery industry, where he led the corporate strategy and business development of its e-business software activities. He received his BA in economics from Yale University and his MBA in information technology and entrepreneurship from MIT. While at MIT, he worked on some of the first Internet commercial applications and on IT healthcare start-ups. He is still closely affiliated with the MIT Entrepreneurship Center and the E-Lab. He has also helped raise over $100 million for different ventures and investment funds and serves on the board of several companies.
JOHN HADL is the co-founder and chairman of the board of Total Beauty Media, Inc. He is also the founder and CEO of Brand in Hand, a company that advises start-ups and major brand marketers. Hadl has served as a strategic adviser to Procter & Gamble for mobile since 2005 and is currently its chief mobile strategy adviser. He also provides counsel to more than a dozen emerging media companies providing mobile marketing and brand strategy advice in the areas of mobile messaging, TV and video, content downloads, search and mobile web media, and trend breakthroughs. Prior to founding Brand in Hand, Hadl was the managing director of Quigley-Simpson Interactive. Before his tenure with Quigley-Simpson, Hadl was the chief strategy officer and co-founder at Enverta. Hadl also held the EVP of corporate development and strategy position at Creative Rx. Hadl frequently keynotes and participates in industry leading events. He holds a JD from the NYU School of Law.
