Celeb Makeup Artist Sam Fine Launches Cosmetics Line

While it's always exciting when one of our favorite celebrities releases her own makeup line (we're looking at you Drew Barrymore!) we get just as giddy when a pro launches a collection. No one knows products like makeup artists do -- and these collections are almost always fantastic.

So when I heard that legendary makeup artist Sam Fine (clients include Jennifer Hudson, Tyra Banks, and Gabrielle Union to name a few) was launching his own line with Fashion Fair Cosmetics, it put me in something of a tizzy. Not only have I been a fan of Fine's work on the red carpet for years, but the line is specifically geared towards women of color.

Most makeup collections have one or two colors that are meant for golden to darker skin complexions (aka my skin tone category). However, I can only think of two major brands that are truly for women of color: CoverGirl's Queen Collection and Iman. And it's beyond thrilling to now have eight gorgeous lip colors, two bold eye-shadow quads and a shimmery lip gloss to add to that lineup -- all thanks to Fine.
