From Broadway to the big screen, Jessica Chastain has quickly jumped to the top of the A-list, thanks to her incredible acting chops and stunning natural beauty. Now the Oscar-nominee has completed another celebrity rite of passage: fragrance spokesmodel. Later this summer, she will become the face of Yves Saint Laurent's new scent, Manifesto.
Debuting in France on Aug. 27 and other parts of Europe in September, the fragrance is slated to launch here in the States sometime in early 2013. If your dad is like mine he's been wearing the same cologne since you were playing on the jungle gym. But with Father's Day coming up, now's the perfect time to update your dad's signature scent.
What brands immediately come to mind? Burberry, Calvin Klein, and Giorgio Armani, right? Sure, those are classic fragrances but here's the thing: Every guy wears those scents. You might as well get him a tie, it's just as original.

If you're getting anxious for the season premiere of "True Blood" on HBO this Sunday, here's a morsel of Alexander Skarsgard news to help hold you over: It was just announced that the actor (who plays Eric Northman) will be the face of Encounter, a fragrance by Calvin Klein. While the new scent doesn't come out until September, we got a preview of the steamy ad campaign, which features model Lara Stone (a Calvin Klein mainstay).
Skarsgard and Stone also star in a yet-to-be-released short film about the fragrance. While we doubt he'll be wearing his fangs, we hear that the film plays on the theme of unresolved tension between a man and a woman and that it was shot in film noir style. So it should still make "True Blood" fans very happy.
